We have an extensive song list that covers all demographics, including plenty of dancefloor bangers!

As a live band, we are incredibly versatile. We will tailor their setlist to suit your style, whether you’re into chart-toppers, old-school classics, or something a bit quirky. Plus, we can read the crowd and switch things up if needed, ensuring everyone has a brilliant time.

What About Song Requests?

Sometimes we get an urge to hear a particular song, even if we didn’t think of it when planning the wedding. One of the biggest benefits of having a live band is being able to request songs during the actual event. The New Retros is happy to take as many requests as clients want. We will prioritise ones that are already on your playlist, but we’re highly experienced in adapting on the spot. Our band is committed to creating a vibrant atmosphere that gets everyone on the dance floor.

We Can Also Provide a DJ

Having both a DJ and live band provides the best of both worlds. Any requests we don’t end up playing though can be played through our DJ system if you book it along with a band. Need help keeping your event running smoothly? We appreciate during weddings, it’s helpful to have someone who can announce speeches, first dances, cake cuttings, the bar closure, or the arrival of food. Whatever you need, we can communicate your message.

Getting to Know your Venue

We’ve played at hundreds of different venues over the years. Our band will arrive a decent time before we start performing to explore the space. This will ensure we know the best way to load in and set-up. Our band also leaves plenty of time to account for shifting times in the schedule of your event. We will always ask the venue beforehand if there’s anything we need to know. Please note, we do charge travel on every band package, unless it’s in or close to the Manchester area. However, we charge minimal travel to locations nearby such as Lancashire, Merseyside and Cheshire.

Do You Provide a Contract?

Yes, and it has robust clauses that protect both you, the client, and us. We will take some details from you, including your choice of package, contact details and your venue. The contract will detail everything we need as a band. However, a lot of the clauses will be negotiable, so if you do have any issues or questions, please let us know before signing. Once the contract is signed, we take a 10% deposit via bank transfer to secure a client’s date. We can give you a copy of this if needed.
